Editing Your Business Profile
Your business profile information appears on quotes, invoices, and emails sent to customers — keeping it accurate is important for a professional impression.
- Tap the Account tab in the bottom navigation.
- Tap Edit on the profile card or scroll to the Business Profile section and tap Edit.
- Update any of the following fields:
- Business name
- Phone number
- Business address (with autocomplete)
- Trade / business type
Tap Save to apply changes. You can also upload a profile photo by tapping the avatar at the top of the Account screen — choose from your camera or photo library.
Setting Up Stripe (US Contractors)
If your business is based in the United States, you can connect a Stripe account to accept card payments online through WorkMate payment links.
- Go to Account → Payment Details.
- Tap Connect with Stripe.
- Complete the Stripe onboarding process — you'll need your business details, bank account information, and identity verification.
- Return to WorkMate. Tap Refresh Status to confirm the connection is active.
Once connected, WorkMate automatically includes a Stripe payment link in invoices sent to customers.
Tip: If your Stripe status shows as "Pending", Stripe may still be reviewing your details. Check your email for any requests from Stripe and allow 1–2 business days.
Setting Up Bank Transfer (Non-US Contractors)
If you're outside the US, you can save your bank details so WorkMate can include them on a payment page for customers.
- Go to Account → Payment Details.
- Enter your bank details:
- Account holder name
- Bank name
- SWIFT / BIC code
- Account number
Tap Save. Your bank details are encrypted and stored securely.
Note: Your bank details are never shown to anyone other than customers you send invoices to. They are stored using AES-256-GCM encryption.
Calendar Sync
WorkMate can sync all your scheduled jobs to your phone's built-in calendar app (Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, etc.).
- Go to Account → Calendar Sync.
- Toggle the switch on.
- Grant WorkMate calendar access when prompted. All current and future jobs will be added to your calendar.
To disable sync, toggle the switch off. This removes WorkMate events from your calendar but does not affect jobs in the app.
You can also toggle calendar sync individually per job from the job creation or edit form.
Recovering Deleted Jobs
When you delete a job in WorkMate it isn't immediately removed — it moves to the Deleted Jobs archive so you can recover it if needed.
- Go to Account → Deleted Jobs (tap Show to expand the list).
- Find the job you want to restore and tap Restore. The job and any linked invoice are fully restored to their previous state.
To permanently delete a job (this cannot be undone), tap Delete Permanently. The job and all associated photos, signatures, and linked invoices are removed forever.
Earnings Summary
The Account tab shows a summary of your business performance:
- Revenue collected — total lifetime payments received.
- Outstanding — total unpaid invoice amount. Tap this to jump to your unpaid invoices list.
- Jobs this month — number of completed jobs in the current calendar month.
Push Notifications
WorkMate sends push notifications for job updates, invoice events, and team activity. To manage which notifications you receive, go to Account → Notifications. This opens your phone's system notification settings for WorkMate, where you can enable or disable specific alert types.
Contacting Support
If you need help with something not covered in these docs, you can contact the WorkMate team directly from within the app:
- Go to Account → Contact Support.
- Enter a subject and describe your issue.
- Tap Send. Your message is submitted and you'll receive a reply by email.
You can also email help@workmatecrm.com directly.
Deleting Your Account
Deleting your account permanently removes all your data — jobs, customers, invoices, team members, and business profile. This action cannot be undone.
- Go to Account → Delete Account (at the bottom of the screen).
- Read the warning carefully.
- Confirm the deletion by typing your confirmation.
If you just need a break, consider logging out instead — your data will still be there when you return.
